RALEIGH, N.C. -- A North Carolina foster dog's unlucky streak ended happily with a forever home.

After 14 unsuccessful adoption attempts, "Ronald" the dog was matched with a loving new family, the SPCA of Wake County shared in January.

After the SPCA posted pictures of Ronald on its Facebook page, the post went viral and Ronald actually maxed out of pending adoptions.

Ronald is making himself right at home.

But finally, Ronald's adoption was finalized after a trial adoption.
And not only does he have human playmates in his new home, but he also has a doggie companion.

The family who adopted Ronald said he is "doing great."

"His new family says he is doing so great with the kids, and they are just obsessed with him," the SPCA posted.
