He is suspected of fatally shooting a man and woman at a home located on Ashbury Court near Huntington Lane and Oak Grove in "The Hamptons" neighborhood.

Both victims were identified by authorities as 51-year-old Lisa Cosenza and 59-year-old Douglas Ferguson. The Orange County Coroner's Office released information indicating that Cosenza and Ferguson were killed in their very own home.

Douglas Ferguson, 59, who was shot and killed at his Aliso Viejo home, is shown in an undated photo.

In addition to the two slain victims, two others, both males in their 50s, were injured in the shooting. They remained hospitalized Friday morning.

Investigators said Ferguson is related to some of the victims but did not elaborate further on the relationship. However, authorities did tell Eyewitness News that Ferguson was currently living at the Aliso Viejo home where the shooting occurred.

During the search for Ferguson, authorities described him as having a shaved head and a tattoo that has the numbers 90291 - the zip code for Venice - on his right shin.

Neighbors said they heard an argument end in gunshots Thursday. Dawson Bell lives behind the home where the shooting occurred.

"I started hearing arguing and I paused my TV, and I looked out my window," he said. "You know when you take the floor mats out of your car and you smack them on the ground to clean them off? It sounded like that, but it was too loud. So I know it was gunshots."
Another neighbor, Mick Paragatos, said he's known the victims and the suspect for years.

"I've seen the guy, and the thing is when I always see them outside hanging out in front of the garage. And they're all always hanging out together," he said.

The crime is a shock to the people who live in the neighborhood.

"It's more just shaken us a little bit, knowing that something happened in our neighborhood that was so close to us," said Stephanie Reynolds, an area resident.

The sheriff's department did not release any information about a possible motive behind the shooting.

Earlier Friday, there were reports that Ferguson was hiding inside a Ventura home.

Authorities responded to the area of Dunning Street and Telegraph Road around 11:54 a.m. Police said a SWAT team was deployed and established a perimeter in the area.
