Two hours after the theft was reported, authorities located the vehicle and arrested a man, Nijee Jackson, on suspicion of grand theft auto.
Sheriff's investigators were interviewing the woman who claimed that her child had been kidnapped. Detectives later arrested the woman, identified her as Ethel Hervey, for false report of a child abduction and violation of probation.
