Canyon Fire 2: Evacuation, road closure information

ANAHEIM HILLS, Calif. (KABC) -- A fast-moving brush fire in several Orange County cities prompted evacuations and road closures within hours of igniting Monday.



Evacuated areas:

Anaheim
All Anaheim residents were able to return to their homes at 7 p.m. Tuesday, according to Anaheim Fire and Rescue officials.



Orange
All houses off Windes Drive, north of Santiago Canyon Road in the Santiago Oaks Park area in the city of Orange remain under evacuation orders.





Tustin
Windes Drive, north of Santiago Canyon Road
Santa Ana Canyon Road between Woodcrest Road and Gypsum Canyon Road

All Tustin residents were able to return home by 5 p.m. Tuesday.




School Closures:
All Orange Unified School District campuses are scheduled to be open Thursday.

Evacuation centers:
OC Animal Care, 561 The City Drive, Orange - for small animals only.
Los Alamitos Racetrack, 4961 Katella Ave., Cypress, for horses.

Residents still in need of assistance can contact the Red Cross at (714) 384-0758.



Road Closures:
The southbound 241 toll road between the 91 Freeway and Santiago Canyon/Chapman Avenue was reopened Friday morning. The northbound 241 remains closed.

Santa Ana Canyon Road between Woodcrest Road and Gypsum Canyon Road

Orange:
All roads off Windes Drive, north of Santiago Canyon Road (Santiago Oaks Park)
