Garfield High in East LA locked down amid search for assault suspects

EAST LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Garfield High School in East Los Angeles was placed on lockdown Thursday afternoon as authorities searched for three suspects who attacked a man with a baseball bat.

The assault happened around 2 p.m., according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Officials say three men assaulted another man with a baseball bat and then fled onto the campus.
