BALDWIN PARK, Calif. (KABC) -- Authorities are investigating two reported freeway shootings that occurred Sunday night in L.A. County, one of which may have left one person injured.

The first incident happened on the northbound side of the 605 Freeway, near Ramona Boulevard, in Baldwin Park shortly after 9 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officers located multiple ammunition casings within the roadway.

Based on witness statements and evidence located at the scene, investigators determined that gunfire from a 9mm firearm came from the front passenger side of a dark-colored sedan traveling in the #2 lane, CHP said. The suspect's car is believed to be a Dodge Charger or a Challenger.

Around the same time, investigators say a man was shot while he was in his backyard just south of the 10 Freeway and near the location of the freeway shooting. The victim was taken to the hospital in stable condition. They're working to determine if this is connected to the 605 Freeway shooting.

Meanwhile, authorities responded to another report of a freeway shooting, about 15 miles away.

This incident happened at about 10:15 p.m. on the 57 Freeway South, near Via Verde in San Dimas.

No one was hurt, but video from the scene showed a vehicle with a bullet impact.

Investigators say someone inside a silver Ford Taurus fired a single shot at a Mercedes SUV.

Officers searched the area where the shooting occurred but were unable to locate any ammunition casings, CHP said.

Anyone with information regarding these cases is urged to contact either Officer Alejandro Macias, Officer John Gribben, or the Special Enforcement Team at the CHP Baldwin Park office at (626) 338-1164.
