Here are the things that define a blizzard

Have you wondered what actually makes a blizzard different from just a snowstorm? AccuWeather has the answers.

"There must be heavy snow or building snow, winds must be greater than 35 miles per hour, visibility has to be less than 1/4 of a mile," according to AccuWeather. These conditions also must be happening for at least three hours for it to be considered a blizzard.
