The attack was reported shortly before 8 a.m. near a gas station in the 1400 block of Sunset Boulevard, just west of Dodger Stadium, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department said.

The victim, a man in his 40s, was transported to a hospital in unknown condition after the arrow struck him in the shoulder, according to the LAPD.
After being struck by the projectile, the injured man apparently snapped the arrow's shaft and dropped it on the ground. He then stumbled into a convenience store at the gas station for help, leaving a trail of blood behind him on the concrete.
The shirtless victim appeared to be homeless, investigators said, adding that they were unable to question him about the attack because he was uncooperative with officers and paramedics who responded to the scene.
No one was in custody in connection with the incident, and a description of a suspect was not available.
