Glendale police say the incident began Thursday with a chase near San Fernando Road and Doran Street shortly after 11 p.m.
The suspect was driving slowly on surface streets before the pursuit suddenly ended. Officers then boxed in the vehicle and called on the suspect to surrender.

He was also seen eating and drinking as he was holed up inside the white Jeep at the intersection of Bel Aire Drive and East Grinnell Drive.
It's unknown if the suspect was armed.
