BURBANK, Calif. (KABC) -- A suspect was taken into custody in Burbank after leading police on a high-speed chase through Los Angeles Wednesday night.

The chase came to an end shortly before 11:30 p.m. on the 5 Freeway when officers fired what appeared to be a less-than-lethal round that hit the suspect. Officers then swarmed the man and took him into custody.

Before being taken into custody, the suspect was slowing down his vehicle on the freeway with the driver's door open and eventually stopped to exit the car.

Police say the suspect was pulled over for a possible DUI and took off during the stop, with the door of his vehicle striking an officer. The officer was not injured.
