ANAHEIM, Calif. (KABC) -- An 18-year-old man was arrested Wednesday for alleged inappropriate physical contact with two young girls at a day care center in Anaheim, authorities said.

Daniel Martinez is suspected of sexually assaulting the children, ages 6 and 7, while employed at the licensed facility in the 700 block of Dale Avenue, according to the Anaheim Police Department.

Police said the facility, named MaGuSa's Family Daycare, was where the 18-year-old was employed. Eyewitness News tried speaking with someone at the facility, but no one answered.

Martinez was taken into custody after voluntarily meeting with police detectives and was booked for alleged lewd acts with a child under the age of 14, police said. He was being held at the Orange County Jail in lieu of $1 million bail.

The investigation began after one of the girls told a parent, who then went to police. It was unclear how long Martinez worked at the daycare.

Any parent who believes their child may have been an additional victim is asked to call the police department at (714) 765-1963.
