The shooting happened in the 4000 block of Gelber Place late Wednesday night, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Details about what led up to the shooting were not immediately available, but police believe there was an exchange of gunfire between two parties. The man and woman drove to a nearby McDonald's for cover, LAPD said.
Police say the man was injured by broken glass caused by the gunshots. He was treated at the scene, but the woman was struck by gunfire and was taken to the hospital in stable condition. Police initially said the man was driving at the time, but they now believe the woman was the driver.
The man and woman told police they were driving for DoorDash at the time of the shooting, but DoorDash says the incident didn't involve any of their workers.
"At this stage, there is no evidence that the incident involved Dashers or happened on our platform," DoorDash said in a statement.
LAPD says it's still trying to confirm whether or not they worked for DoorDash.
Some residents who live in the area where the shooting took place woke up to find their cars damaged as a result. One woman's car was riddled with bullet holes.
"I was already considering moving, but this definitely put me in alarm to just want to leave this area. After five years, it's pretty scary. I don't feel safe at all," a woman told Eyewitness News.
Several shell casings were also strewn across the street.
Shirley Williams was in bed at the time and says she heard bangs.
"For a quick minute, I didn't see anything else and I just though it was fireworks. I didn't realize it was actually shooting," she said.
Investigators have not determined exactly how many suspects were involved in the shooting, and a suspect description was not released.
