USGS said the quake, which struck around 6:16 p.m., was centered near Palomar Mountain and shook the San Diego area.

Shaking was felt across a large swath of Orange County and the Inland Empire, according to map provided by the USGS. People called the ABC7 newsroom saying they felt shaking in Riverside, Newport Beach, Corona and Menifee.
The National Weather Service in San Diego said no tsunami is expected. There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
