LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- More than 24 hours since walking out of a re-entry program facility, authorities are still looking for an escaped inmate.

Richard Tarin, 30, removed his electronic monitoring device and left the facility in Los Angeles Saturday afternoon.

Tarin had served more than five years in prison for driving under the influence and causing great bodily injury.

He was supposed to be paroled this fall.

If you see Tarin, you're asked to call 911.
