A new survey says nearly 40% of Americans don't have a Real ID or any of the other forms of identification required at airport security checkpoints.
California's Real ID deadline is exactly 1 year away
Applications for a Real ID card will require several official documents to verify your identity, such as a passport, birth certificate or permanent residency card. Plus, a social security card, pay stub that shows your full social security number. Lastly, applicants will have to show two proofs of residency such as a utility bill or rental agreement.
