As of Wednesday afternoon, the fire grew to about 50 acres.
AIR7 HD was above the fire, which appears to be near the Fair Hills Farms equestrian farm. However, it appeared the area has visible brush clearance and will help the fire from spreading.
Topanga Canyon Road was briefly shut down between Pacific Coast Highway and Mulholland Drive. The California Highway Patrol asked residents to watch out for fire personnel and equipment in the area.
Drivers were urged to seek an alternative route.
