HOUSTON, Texas -- After being separated from their dogs for weeks following Hurricane Harvey, one Texas family got the best outcome they could have hoped for: a reunion with their four-legged friends.
The Vallejo family's dogs, Mike and Max, were two of seven dogs reunited with their owners at NRG Pavillion on Saturday with the help of Best Friends Animal Society.

"Never give up hope! Look for your pets, they're out here," Sayra Vallejo said after an emotional reunion with Mike and Max.
Best Friends Animal Society operates the Pet Reunion Pavilion at NRG Arena, which is currently home to more than 600 cats and dogs waiting to be picked up by their owners.

If your pet is missing, the society offers an online tool to see if your cat or dog is in the shelter.
