Pink's selling 77-cent chili dogs to mark anniversary

HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- What began with a hot dog cart pushed by Beverly Pink's mother back in 1939 has become a Los Angeles icon, drawing tens of thousands of visitors a year, and offering any kind of dog you can imagine.

Pink's Hot Dogs is offering their famous chili dogs for 77 cents Thursday evening to celebrate their 77th anniversary.

The iconic Los Angeles restaurant will only offer the deal at its La Brea at Melrose location for 77 minutes beginning at 7 p.m.

Pink's said all the proceeds will go to benefit Bob Hope USO, which provides morale and recreational services to members of the U.S. military.
