RIVERSIDE, Calif. (KABC) -- Several suspects who led California Highway Patrol officers on a high-speed chase throughout Los Angeles County in a reported stolen vehicle were taken into custody after trying to flee from officers by going into a Walmart store.

The pursuit began Thursday evening in Riverside after authorities received reports of a stolen car.

It's unclear what prompted the chase, but the driver, a woman, soon began driving from Riverside into the L.A. area.

AIR7 HD was above the scene throughout most of the chase, where the driver was captured running a red light at least once.

After more than 30 minutes of weaving through busy freeways and streets, the driver suddenly pulled into a Walmart store in the Santa Fe Springs area, where she and a passenger, a man, jumped out of the vehicle and ran into the store.

AIR7 HD captured the woman running in without shoes but was almost immediately tackled by officers.

The male passenger apparently made his way through store and ended up near the loading area before he was apprehended. At least one other person was captured being placed in handcuffs though it's unclear if that person was inside the vehicle during the chase or if he has a connection to the suspects.
