Man and woman found dead in car along PCH near Mugu Rock

POINT MUGU, Calif. (KABC) -- An investigation is underway after two people were found dead inside a car along the Pacific Coast Highway near Mugu Rock.

A witness who walked past the car at Vista Point on PCH reported the incident Wednesday night, according to the Ventura County Sheriff's Department.

The individuals who died have only been identified as a man and a woman in their 40s.

No much else is known at this point, but the sheriff's department is calling the deaths suspicious.

Deputies say it appears to be an isolated incident and there is no threat to public safety.
