MALIBU, Calif. (KABC) -- Two injured hikers had to be rescued after getting stuck on a cliff near Las Virgenes Road in Malibu Friday morning.
Two helicopters were brought in to hoist the patients out. Both hikers were 12 years old and part of a larger group of hikers with the Salvation Army Camp.
Los Angeles County fire officials said initial reports indicate that a girl from Ventura suffered from heat exhaustion, and a boy from Santa Maria suffered a minor ankle injury.
Both were transported to UCLA Medical Center in Westwood.
