According to the police department, Twin Peaks deputies with the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department responded to the 9000 block of Old City Creek Road on Saturday after a 49-year-old woman with a traumatic brain injury walked away from home and didn't return.
When deputies arrived, they began canvassing the area with K-9s Keva and Naji.
Naji initially tracked the woman's scent, then Keva continued following it down a nearby horse trail, police said. About half a mile into the search, Keva diverted down a ravine, where deputies heard the woman calling for help.
The woman had reportedly fallen approximately 200 feet down a steep ravine.
San Bernardino County Search and Rescue and Air Rescue 306 responded to the scene and hoisted the woman to safety.
