CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif. (KABC) -- A second-alarm fire broke out Friday in a commercial building in the City of Industry, sending thick plumes of smoke into the air.
The flames broke out at about 5:20 p.m. at Collwood Avenue and Valley Boulevard. Los Angeles County firefighters shut down surrounding streets in the area while they put out the flames.

Neighboring homeowners could be seen spraying water onto the roof of their homes and sheds.
No evacuations were immediately reported. One person was taken to a hospital with a burn injury, fire officials said.
