The Los Angeles Police Department told Eyewitness News on Sunday that all of the officers are in stable condition and all three have been released from the hospital.

AIR7 video from Saturday shows the officers being loaded into ambulances and taken to area hospitals with police escorts.

Police said officers were responding to a short pursuit and began setting up a perimeter after a suspect took off on foot.

That's when two LAPD cruisers responding to the scene crashed into each other at the intersection of Wilbur Avenue and Roscoe Boulevard just before 10:30 p.m.

One cruiser reportedly had two officers inside, and the other had a solo officer. AIR7 video shows two police cruisers badly damaged at the scene.

LAPD says the initial call that sparked the chase was for a person with a gun and that there were three suspects in the vehicle.

Those three suspects were ultimately taken into custody.

The incident remains under investigation.
