405 Freeway lane, ramp closures continue this weekend through the Sepulveda Pass

BRENTWOOD, Calif. (CNS) -- Overnight lane and ramp closures will be in place this weekend on the 405 Freeway through the Sepulveda Pass as Caltrans crews continue a repaving project in the area.

Intermittent closures, which began Friday, will take place from 10 p.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday as follows:

  • The southbound 405 will be reduced to two lanes between the connector to the 101 and the connector between southbound 101 and southbound 405 will be closed

  • The on-ramp from Burbank Boulevard to southbound 405 will be closed

  • The off-ramp from northbound 405 to Getty Center Drive will be closed

  • The northbound 101 connector to southbound 405 will be closed

  • The southbound 101 connector to southbound 405 will be reduced to one lane




Motorists are advised to leave with extra time and find alternate routes.



Crews will also work nightly from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Friday next week, according to Caltrans.

The speed limit will be reduced to 55 mph in certain northbound and southbound sections of the freeway.
