NAPA, Calif. (KABC) -- An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 4.1 hit 9 miles north of Napa Thursday night, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The quake struck at 7:53 p.m. and had a depth of about 5.5 miles.
There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
In August, a magnitude-6.0 temblor caused extensive damage in Napa and the surrounding area.
