The crash happened at Telegraph Road and Victoria Avenue shortly after 9 p.m. A car and a van collided.

According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, nine people were injured. Five were said to be in critical condition, and four reportedly had minor injuries.
Of the nine people hurt, seven were taken to area hospitals, fire officials said. The two other people who were hurt were treated at the scene.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
