Ashley Persson received a big surprise, reuniting with the country star after meeting more than a decade ago on his tour stop in Santa Clara. "When I think about what Luke Bryan has done, that just shows that he must be in alignment with what he values and how he values people, and serving others around him with what he has, and the opportunity to impact and influence people like that," Persson told ABC7.
Bryan revealed what he cherishes about the program, "They're going through, rough days, tough days. And, the fact that we have the ability to maybe flip the narrative and let them have a great day out on the road or coming backstage, is something I've always really cherished."
When Persson first met Bryan with her Make-A-Wish moment, she finished cancer treatment and was heading off to college. She's now been cancer-free for 11 years. As for the singer, Bryan has granted more than 50 wishes.
