Disney+ unveils trailer, premiere date for new original animated series 'The Doomies'

The supernatural comedy-adventure features 22 episodes alongside a new four-part short-form companion series.

LOS ANGELES -- True best friends don't let you battle creatures of doom alone!

Luckily, Bobby and Romy have each other's backs in the new Disney+ series, "The Doomies."

Disney+ has released the official trailer and key art for "The Doomies," an animated supernatural comedy-adventure series. The show is scheduled to premiere June 26 on the platform and debut with 22 half-hour episodes.



Additionally, Disney+ will release a new short-form companion series featuring four distinct episodes: "Doug Unfiltered," "Ghosted By A Ghost," "Creepy Crepe" and "What Is That Thing?"



According to the series's logline, the plot follows best friends Bobby and Romy after they accidentally open a portal to evil, transforming their tranquil coastal town into a hotspot for terrifying creatures of doom.

The story tracks the teenagers as they navigate the mystery and face off against both literal and inner monsters in an comedy designed to combine thrills, chills, and emotional spills. Things get even more intense for the duo with an array of evil beings actively targeting Bobby.

"I'm strangely okay that everything is out to get me, but this is still my life," Bobby says in the footage.

The trailer provides a sneak peek into what fans can expect from the series, showcasing plenty of dark moments mixed with teenage humor. In one scene, the best friends are seen livestreaming the creepy characters to the internet, chanting, "Think of the followers, think of the followers!"

The trailer concludes with the duo resolving to take matters into their own hands.



"We're gonna find those creatures of doom," Bobby says.

"You sure about this?" Romy asks.

"We're the Doomies. Of course I'm not sure," he replies as the trailer ends.

Bringing these characters to life is a voice cast that stars Max Mittelman as Bobby and Madison Calderon as Romy. The series also features Noel Gibson as Kim, Jon Bailey as Doug, and Zehra Fazal as Jenny.
