Police said the child, who was not identified due to his age, called police when 52-year-old Lisa Arnold attempted to abduct his 3-year-old brother.

*Caller: "And then he hit my mom."
*911: "OK."
*Caller: "And then I said, 'Let my brother go!' Very strongly!
*Caller: "He's 3 and I'm 8 and a half."
911: "You're 8 years old?"
*Caller: "8 and a half!"
Officials said Arnold first attempted to kidnap a 14-month old girl in a stroller near Adams Street and Chevy Chase Drive. When unsuccessful there, about 20 minutes later police said she tried to take the 3-year-old boy near John Marshall Elementary School.

In both cases, police said the mothers were able to stop Arnold.
Witnesses said in both cases Arnold said something like, "You're so cute," before trying to grab the children.
*911: "Was it a man?"
*Caller: "It looked like a lady. We weren't sure. His voice was like a girl, but he looked like a man."
Arnold, of Glendale, was arrested on Friday and faces two felony counts of attempted kidnapping. She pleaded not guilty in court on Tuesday.
If convicted, she faces a possible maximum sentence of more than nine years in state prison. Her bail was set at $100,000.
