LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Two baby raccoons briefly stole the spotlight from Shohei Ohtani before the Dodgers' game against the Colorado Rockies Tuesday night.

Video of the two raccoons went viral on social media after they were spotted walking and bumping their heads below the outfield wall padding.

The game announcers said personnel went to safely retrieve the raccoons.

The animals' appearance came during a milestone night for Ohtani, who hit his 300th career home run during the game.

Despite Ohtani's achievement, the Dodgers lost 4-3 to the Rockies.

The raccoons' unexpected visit provided a memorable moment for fans, even as the Dodgers came up short on the scoreboard.
