Officers pulled over the tractor trailer about 12:15 a.m. Saturday on suspicion of a vehicle code violation in the area of the northbound 15 Freeway and Lenwood Road, according to the Barstow Police Deparment.
An officer deployed his K-9, which alerted to the trailer, indicating the presence of narcotics, police said in a statement.
Police advised the driver, 32-year-old Arizona resident Yuvari Singh, of the K-9 alert, and Singh consented to a search of the vehicle and trailer, the news release said.
"During the search, officers located 453 Kilograms of suspected Cocaine wrapped in packaging and concealed between boxes," the statement said.
Some of the narcotics were wrapped in bundles labeled with the likeness of notorious drug lord Pablo Escobar, a photo released by police showed.
Singh was arrested and booked at the High Desert Detention Center in Adelanto for alleged possession of illegal narcotics for sale, and transportation of illegal narcotics, according to authorities. The drugs were seized and booked at the Barstow Police Department.
