MONROVIA, Calif. (KABC) -- Summer heat means more pool time -- even for bears.
Monrovia resident Miriam Childers sent Eyewitness News a photo of a bear taking a dip in her backyard pool in the 300 block of Shadow Lane Monday afternoon as temperatures in the area reached the mid-80s.

"He was having a great time until I scared him away, hitting a pan with a wooden spoon. I let him play for a while because he was being adorable, and oh, so happy," Childers said.
Childers adds the bear is regular visitor of the home.
