Bicyclist killed in Huntington Beach crash identified as beloved pastor, father of 4

HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. (KABC) -- The bicyclist who was fatally struck by a car on Pacific Coast Highway in Huntington Beach has been identified as a beloved pastor and father of four.

Eric Williams, 45, was killed Monday morning in a crash that injured two other bicyclists.

According to a GoFundMe account that was set up for his family, Williams founded the Community Church of West Garden Grove. He leaves behind a wife and four children.

In a post on Instagram, the Huntington Beach Firefighters Associated Local 3354 said Williams was a family member of a fire department Marine Safety Captain.

Meanwhile, the woman accused of killing him and injuring two others is facing several charges.



Amber Calderon, 43, of Long Beach, was arrested shortly after the crash about half a mile away from the scene after she ultimately stopped.

Calderon has been charged with one felony count of hit-and-run causing permanent injury or death, and two felony counts of hit-and-run with injury. She faces a maximum sentence of 5 years and four months, according to the Orange County District Attorney's Office.
