The first chick emerged from its egg early Sunday morning, revealing a fluffy eaglet moving around the nest. The nonprofit Friends of Big Bear Valley said the hatching process took about 36 hours.
Video from the nest showed the newly hatched eagle moving around shortly after emerging, as viewers continued to watch the nest on Easter morning.

Meanwhile, the second chick hatched soon after, shortly before 9 a.m.
Observers are continuing to watch the Big Bear Lake nest as the nesting season progresses.
