LONG BEACH, Calif. (KABC) -- Students at Cal State Long Beach are being warned to be on the lookout for a suspicious person who has been spotted on campus.

The first incident happened on Sept. 16. CSULB police say a man, identified as 27-year-old Ion Sirus Ghahreman, followed a male student off a bus onto campus and sat next to him in class. Ghahreman is not a student.

Officers escorted him off campus and advised him not to return for seven days.

Two days later, campus police were advised that a man was sleeping in the women's restroom at about 8:30 a.m. Officers arrived and determined it was Ghahreman again.

Ghahreman was arrested for misdemeanor trespassing and booked at the Long Beach police jail. He was released on Monday.

Records show Ghahreman has had several run-ins with police. Over the last nine years, he has had nine convictions, ranging from break-ins and grand thefts to various drug charges.

Anyone who sees Ghahreman is advised to call university police at (562) 985-4101, or dial 911.
