LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Sparks began to fly from a reported stolen pickup truck as the suspect drove on only three tires during a wild chase from Palmdale to North Hills Tuesday night.

The chase ended around 10:24 p.m. when the driver got off the 405 Freeway at Roscoe Boulevard and surrendered peacefully to California Highway Patrol officers.

A spike strip shredded the front left tire of the GMC truck, and a shower of sparks poured from the vehicle while the rim scraped the road.
