Shortly before 10 p.m., the driver suddenly spun out as he entered the intersection near Saticoy Street and Corbin Avenue in Reseda. He appeared to be driving above 70 mph shortly before losing control of the sedan.
The car veered across the road and slammed into a power pole, bringing an end to the wild pursuit that featured close calls and high-speed driving.
Following the crash, Los Angeles police surrounded the driver and took him into custody without incident. A gun was reportedly inside the suspect's car.
AIR7 was over the pursuit just after 9:40 p.m. as the fleeing driver was traveling at high speeds in the Canoga Park area. At one point, the California Highway Patrol was involved in the pursuit.
Police say the driver was wanted for possibly driving under the influence.
