Chase suspect crashes into semi-truck, forcing closure of westbound lanes of 10 Fwy in Alhambra

ALHAMBRA, Calif. (KABC) -- A suspect who was being chased by police crashed into a semi-truck on the 10 Freeway in Alhambra, forcing the closure of several westbound lanes Friday morning.

The incident was reported shortly before 5 a.m. at Fremont Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol's traffic log.



Details about the crash, as well as why police were chasing the suspect, were not available.

The condition of the suspect was unclear.



At one point, all westbound lanes were shut down. The freeway was fully reopened by 6 a.m., but traffic was still heavy through the area.
