1 injured after big rigs crash on westbound 10 Freeway in Claremont

CLAREMONT, Calif. (KABC) -- A driver was injured Friday afternoon in a crash involving two big rigs that shut down lanes on the westbound 10 Freeway in Claremont.

The crash was reported at about 4:07 p.m. on the westbound 10 Freeway at Indian Hill Boulevard.

AIR7 was over the scene as Los Angeles County firefighters extricated one of the drivers from the cab of a big rig. The driver was placed on a stretcher and taken to a hospital.

The cab sustained extensive damage in the collision.

Traffic backed up as freeway lanes were closed following the crash. However, at least two lanes were later reopened.



It was not immediately clear what caused the collision.
