"We feel like we're a part of the Newport-Mesa community, and I think that helps the community feel like they're part of Mi Casa," owner Ryan Moore said.
This Orange County restaurant is a hot spot among locals, known for its big plates of shrimp and pork enchiladas.
Chef Efron and his team cook hundreds of them every day, along with flavorful rice, beans and fajitas.
Other menu favorites include the crowd-pleasing cheesy nachos, and churros for dessert.
Mi Casa es su casa for a fun lunch, family dinner or date night.
"Every day, it's people that have been coming here for 50 years," managing partner Ryan Allen said. "They came in here with their parents or even grandparents. They went on their first dates here. They all have some story."
Moore's grandfather founded Mi Casa back in 1972, and his family has continued its legacy as a Newport-Mesa community staple ever since.
Even presidents have stopped by to grab a bite.
"The way that he ran the business, consistency, value, we still carry those ideas today," Moore said. "And we support the community, too."
With tasty Mexican favorites and a full bar, you can stop in for specials on tacos and margaritas every Tuesday.
The restaurant also offers Happy Hour on Wednesdays.
Mi Casa is open seven days a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and is located at 296 E 17th St., in Costa Mesa.
