ANAHEIM, Calif. (KABC) -- Two dogs are now in loving hands after they were rescued from suspected abuse by their owner in Anaheim.

Earlier this week, Anaheim police shared a video asking the public for help in identifying the owners. In that footage, the woman is seen squatting down as she slaps and hits one of the dogs.

After days of searching, police say they were able to track down the owner and rescue the dogs.

They are now in the custody of OC Animal Care.

The owner was interviewed but it's not clear if she will face any charges. Detectives say the case is expected to be handed over to the district attorney's office for review.
