Witnesses say federal agents raided the Home Depot on Sherman Way around 9:20 a.m. Friday. According to observers who were trying to help those being detained, as many as three men were taken into custody.
Witnesses told Eyewitness News off-camera that the immigration agents were at the Home Depot for around 15 minutes. Some of the day laborers at the store said the immigration agents chased after a few men, put them in their vehicles and then drove away.
"We have seen a large increase in the amount of raids happening," said one witness, who did not want to be named or go on camera.
The witness has been working with immigration groups to monitor raids. He said they have noticed an uptick in raids across Southern California, which includes raids on Thursday in Chino and Pomona.

"They're hitting car washes because Home Depots aren't an easy target anymore. We see that they're going over to the Southland and the IE, Pasadena, Santa Ana," he said.
Some of the day laborers looking for work at the North Hollywood Home Depot told Eyewitness News that they don't really have a choice but to take a chance because they need the work.
"I'm concerned about people's safety," said Miguel Castro, who is documented but worries about how the raids will affect business and his community. "You know, what is happening in this country, I came here in 1996, and this is the first time that I see something like this, and it's not humane. You know, I'm concerned about our community."
Eyewitness News reached out to the Department of Homeland Security to get more information about Friday's raid in North Hollywood, but has yet to hear back.
