DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A dramatic fire erupted Monday evening at a two-story commercial building in downtown Los Angeles, prompting a response from 164 firefighters, officials said.
The stubborn blaze began shortly before 8:10 p.m. at Smoke Tokes, a wholesale distributor of smoking products, in the 200 block of San Pedro Street. The business is located in a 100-year-old structure measuring 13,822 square feet.

Hazardous, flammable materials at the scene included pressurized gas cylinders that exploded during the incident.
Firefighters extinguished the flames at about 10:14 p.m., just over two hours after responding to the location.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
Partial closures of 3rd and San Pedro Streets were expected to last through the Tuesday morning commute.
