Get a look inside the model homes at Disney's Cotino community

RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif. (KABC) -- The first model homes have been revealed at Cotino, the Storyliving by Disney community in the Southern California desert. The homes feature the Disney touch in every detail.

Located in Rancho Mirage, just south of Palm Springs, these homes have the creativity of Disney Imagineers flowing through them.

General Manager Michael Cali explained the design options, "We have a total of nine different floor plans across the two collections, cottage and grand."

The interior design of the models is inspired by classic Disney stories and has their own specific personality. One home incorporates Adventureland decor while another has a black and white color scheme for "101 Dalmatians."

Single family homes and condominiums are currently being offered with surrounding parks and lifestyle amenities on the horizon.

There are plans to open entertainment venues and a hotel that will be surrounded by a crystal water lagoon.

The Artisan Club is an upcoming beachfront venue that is designed to look like the Parr House from "The Incredibles." You'll be able to partake in a fitness class, lounge by the pool, and relax on the white sandy beaches of Cotino Bay.

The Cotino development first broke ground in April 2022.

General Manager Anthony Henry shared the timeline for the community saying, "We do expect first residents to move in 2025. The artisan club will be opening in 2025 and in 2026 we expect the Cotino Bay and town center to open up and that'll be open to the general public or the general Coachella Valley."
