WEST COVINA, Calif. (KABC) -- West Covina police on Monday arrested a man accused of sexually assaulting a teenage girl after luring her at a bus stop near school.

Oscar Jimenez Larios, 39, of Glendora, would allegedly drive around looking for underage girls to lure into his vehicle, according to the West Covina Police Department.

In February, detectives say Larios approached a teenage girl at a bus stop near a middle school.

"She took the ride to school. However, he drove her to a nearby parking lot where she was sexually assaulted by him," West Covina police Sgt. Steven Spagon said. "She was able to flee the vehicle and report the incident to law enforcement."

Earlier this month, police say Larios approached two teen girls near a middle and elementary school.

"We were able to basically piece those investigations together because of the similarities," Spagon said.

Larios was arrested. Police won't release his photo for now because there could be other victims.

The L.A. County District Attorney's Office filed two counts of lewd and lascivious acts upon a minor and three counts of annoying and molesting a child against Larios, according to police.

Police advise parents to have conversations with their teenage children about being aware of their surroundings.

"It's easy to be glued to your cellphone or listening to your (headphones) while you're walking to school or wherever you're walking," Spagon said. "Try to walk in groups, walk in well lit areas and communicate effectively with your parents and let them know where you're going and where you're going to be picked up at."

Larios remains in custody without bail. He was arraigned Wednesday and is due back in court next month.
