SOUTH LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A helicopter landed on a South Los Angeles freeway Thursday night, causing all southbound lanes of the 110 freeway to shut down for a couple of hours.

The helicopter made the emergency landing around 8:25 p.m. between two express lanes and a portion of the main roadway on southbound 110, just north of the 105 Freeway interchange.

No injuries were reported. Traffic was diverted at the Century Avenue exit.

A large flatbed truck was used to haul the helicopter off the freeway. The roadway reopened just before 10:30 p.m.

It's unknown why the pilot made the emergency landing.

The helicopter is the same aircraft that made an emergency landing at Pan Pacific Park near the baseball fields on July 9, according to ABC7 video from the scene. It was unknown why the pilot had to make the emergency landing two months ago.
