Chin Chin has closed its doors after 45 years at the Sunset Plaza.
It's the end of an era for so many people. Many customers told Eyewitness News they grew up going to the location along the Sunset Strip.
Chin Chin's most popular staple dish is the Chinese chicken salad.
"The food is amazing. Literally, we were just talking about, 'Where am I going to find this again?'" said Jamir Smith.
"I think what kept us coming back is just the people, and it's part of the culture here in WeHo," said Michael Vayntrue.
"I just moved here April 1, at 11 o'clock, and so, I'm from the East Coast and so, Chinese food, Asian cuisine is a thing for us," Brent Brown said. "So I was looking and I was hoping that I would be able to find something that would remind me of home. This is the closest to home that I could get."
Chin Chin has officially closed its WeHo location, but the Brentwood and Studio City locations will remain open. We're told some employees will start working there, while others are moving on.
Managers would not say why the WeHo location is closing, other than that the lease will not be renewed.
A GoFundMe has been set up to support employees, and in hopes that the community will help them find another WeHo location.
