LEGO unveils giant World Cup trophy in New York City

LEGO has unveiled a 27-foot-tall World Cup trophy replica made from more than 1.3 million bricks at Rockefeller Center in New York City.

NEW YORK CITY (KABC) -- LEGO has unveiled a 27-foot-tall World Cup trophy replica made from more than 1.3 million bricks in New York City.

The massive trophy was unveiled at LEGO's FIFA World Cup Fan Zone at Rockefeller Center.

According to LEGO, the replica was built at a LEGO factory in the Czech Republic by 59 experts who spent more than 7,000 hours constructing it.

The LEGO World Cup trophy will remain on display through the remainder of the tournament, which concludes July 19.
