Laura Teniz-Meza was one of two people killed in the accident last week near Highland and Del Rosa avenues.
Firefighters pulled out three trapped drivers from their cars after putting out the flames. Two of them died at the scene, and a third person suffered minor injuries.
Teniz-Meza was on her way to work at the time.
Family members and others gathered for vigil Sunday night to honor her.
"My sister was the world to us. She was a devoted mother. She worked very hard all the time, just to provide a good life for the children," said Patricia Recinos.
"We're never going to have our mom back. It's such a tragedy... I just feel like I can't... I don't know how to go on with anything," said Jessica Meza, the victim's daughter.
A GoFundMe account has been set up on behalf of her family.
